Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 3, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what information iKomyut collects through its automated fare collection (AFC) platform, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to transport operators, cooperatives, drivers and conductors, and passengers who interact with our services.
1. Information We Collect
Account information. When an operator registers a company account, or an operator adds employees, drivers, or conductors to the platform, we collect details such as name, email address, mobile number, address, and employment information.
Fleet and transaction data. We collect vehicle, route, and fare transaction records generated as vehicles operate and passengers pay fares, so operators can monitor revenue and fleet performance.
Location data. Where a vehicle is enrolled in real-time tracking, we process approximate or precise location data to display vehicle position and route adherence on operator dashboards.
Passenger inquiries and complaints. When a passenger submits a complaint, feedback, or a sales inquiry through our forms, we collect the details provided (such as name, contact information, and message content) to respond to the request.
2. How We Use Information
- To operate the AFC platform, including fare processing, fleet management, and reporting.
- To provide operator dashboards with real-time and historical operational insights.
- To respond to passenger complaints, feedback, and sales inquiries.
- To maintain the security, integrity, and audit trail of transaction records.
- To communicate service updates relevant to operators and platform users.
3. Third-Party Services
We rely on a small number of third-party services to operate the platform, including mapping and location services (for vehicle tracking and route display), bot-protection services (to prevent spam submissions on our forms), and cloud storage providers (for images such as profile and vehicle photos). These providers process data only as necessary to provide their service to us.
4. Data Retention
We retain account, fleet, and transaction records for as long as the associated operator account is active, and as needed to meet operational, financial reconciliation, and audit requirements. Passenger inquiry and complaint records are retained long enough to resolve the matter and for a reasonable period afterward.
5. Data Security
We use encrypted connections for data in transit, role-based access controls so staff only access data relevant to their role, and audit logging of transactions and account activity. No system is completely immune to risk, and we continue to invest in improving these safeguards.
6. Your Choices
If you are a driver, conductor, or employee added to the platform by a transport operator, questions about your personal data should first be directed to that operator, as they administer your account. You may also contact us directly using the details below for any privacy-related request.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to our practices or for legal, operational, or regulatory reasons. We will update the "Last updated" date above when we do.
8. Contact Us
